Can you handle the truth?

 
Truth is always difficult to handle because it can conflict with our set of believes and create cognitive dissonance. You can always question the truth but never the lie. Truth always prevails. But, why is it that we need face this issue? Because this present age belongs to the father of lies, the deceiver, and we are influenced by his deeds. This is what the Bible tell us.

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 
(1 John 5:19 ESV)
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. 
(John 8:44-45 ESV)
There is ungodly people in this world that control us with constant deceptions. These are people with a lot of influence and power and we have put our blindly trust in them and make them our authorities. Once we realize this we can start our awakening journey to the truth, which is sometimes very uncomfortable. Most of what we know of our world is a lie.
